Lifestyle Medicine Interest Groups<\/h1>\n

Lifestyle Medicine Interest Groups (LMIGs) are organizations that address the growing need for lifestyle medicine at the academic and health systems level. LMIG leaders host events informed by evidence-based lifestyle medicine to support healthy habits for trainees, staff, and the local community. With exclusive benefits and support from ACLM, LMIGs have been established across the country and have been instrumental in advocating for curriculum reform within many health professional training programs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Start a LMIG in Four Easy Steps:<\/h2>\n

  1. \n
    Access the LMIG Toolkit <\/strong><\/a>and review the “How to Start a New LMIG Page”<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Identify an advisor. Having trouble? Search our membership directory<\/a> to see if there are any faculty at your institution who share your passion for lifestyle medicine<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Gather a group of interested peers to serve in leadership positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Media Manager, etc.)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Apply for one of the ACLM orientation cohorts (July, October, March)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Orientation Details:<\/h3>\n

    Orientations will be held in\u00a0March, July and October EVERY YEAR.<\/strong>\u00a0The orientation process will allow regional groups to connect, share ideas, learn about event hosting and leadership best practices. At the end of the orientation, you will be equipped with all the tools and resources you need to maintain a strong Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group at your institution.
