Trainee must be closely and actively engaged in the project, in the capacity of a Co-I, research assistant, data analyst, or other similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Trainee must be first author on any planned poster abstracts or publications for which award funds are directly used<\/li>\n<li>Research project must focus on an intervention or exposure that is aligned with at least one of the six pillars of LM (a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and positive social connection)<\/li>\n<li>Award checks will be written to trainee\u2019s institution \u2013 please confirm in your application and budget that your institution is willing to accept the funds and can abide by ACLM\u2019s indirect cost limit of 10% (you should confirm this with your supervisor and\/or research administration department <em>before<\/em> applying).<\/li>\n<li>Funds must be used within 12 months of the check issue date; awardees must submit a report and documentation at the end of the 12 months to confirm planned use of funds.<\/li>\n<li>If grant is unused at the end of this 12-month period, funds must be returned to ACLM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"w-btn-wrapper align_none\"><a class=\"w-btn us-btn-style_9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lifestylemedicine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/ACLM-Trainee-Research-Grants-2023-1.pdf\"><span class=\"w-btn-label\">Download Full Application Instructions<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_grid cols_1 laptops-cols_inherit tablets-cols_inherit mobiles-cols_1 valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"w-separator size_medium with_line width_default thick_3 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h5>Unrestricted grants<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>May be used to fund new or active research projects, including a discrete project that is smaller in scope or a larger project for which the ACLM funds would supplement other funding<\/li>\n<li>If funding is used to supplement a larger project, documentation of the other funding award(s) will be requested to confirm that the project can be successfully executed<\/li>\n<li>May be used for any expenses associated with the research project, including, but not limited to, new data collection, intervention supplies and materials, educational materials, consulting support, study subject incentives, data access fees, or to facilitate conducting a systematic review or other secondary analysis project<\/li>\n<li>Awardee will be required to participate in three mentoring meetings with the ACLM Sr. Dir. of Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Open access publication grants<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Submission to a peer-reviewed journal, indexed in Medline, is required within 6 months of receiving grant<\/li>\n<li>Targeted journal must be indexed in PubMed, with higher-impact journals being more desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2791,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","project_category":[22,49],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
